This is an age old question. Numerous articles have been written in search of an answer. Disney even took a stab at it in the beloved tale of Snow White.
Every day Snow White’s wicked stepmother would stand in front of her mirror and ask: “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” The Queen’s heart’s desire was to be the prettiest in the land— it was her only purpose. Meanwhile, Miss Snow was off frolicking in the forest, cleaning up after the dwarfs. Ironically, the story ends with a sweet kiss that awakens Snow White to fulfill her purpose by re-claiming her father’s throne and ruling the kingdom with a pure heart and desire to serve others.

Whether, our purpose in this life is to serve others or serve ourselves, the yearning to find our calling remains the same. Divinely guided purpose is to aspire to our truest and purest reflection of our higher selves. Some days fulfilling this purpose is easy peezy; other days— not so much!

As you reflect over 2014 and get ready for the New Year, ask yourself: How do I live a purpose driven life? In which ways do I listen to my heart and follow the wisdom of my spirit?
This is the first entry in a series of articles that I am looking forward to sharing with you. During the months ahead, we will explore how to discover our calling and the steps we can take to maintain balanced and purposeful living. Have a happy holiday!

Love & Light,
Heather
